Spring on the whole was as expected; brisk mornings, sporadic sunshine and the odd days (weeks) of April showers. Summer, however is predicted to be a scorcher this year with highs of 33 degrees on the cards until the end of July (que British hysteria with sunburn and horrendous wife beaters on the streets). To avoid fitting into the later category, follow our dapper tips to keep you looking suave in the heat this summer.
Sun cream & skincare
Taking care of your skin is ever so important. Being the lobster guy in a beer garden is just not cool and you will look far more suave with a golden glow than red. Slap on the factor before you head out for the day and moisturize when you get home to re-fuel your skin before bed. That way, it will recover over night like a dream.

Layer Essentials; Suede Jacket & Zip Up
The Seventies vibe we saw hit its peak during autumn/winter '15 continues for the new season, so if you are debating investing in a suede jacket, rest assured that it will carry you through to the summer. Another item you should invest in is the zip-up jogging suit-style jumper, which we saw worn in a variety of ways: under suits, as a light top layer and, our personal favourite, tied around the waist and ready for sundown.

Socks and sandals aren't going anywhere
Now as much as we have to admit, when this trend first arose it just reminded us of our dads (and not in a good way). However it doesn’t seem to have disappeared. When you’re next out in the sun; you’ll notice a swathe of men around you will be bearing pool sliders with gym socks – time to release the German tourist in you gentleman.

Cuban collar shits to get you in the summer mood
If you’re actually heading to Havana – or at least anywhere the temperature gets above 20 degrees Celsius – try teaming yours with a pair of cuffed cotton shorts and suede loafers. “If you’re more into the rebellious youth culture of the 1950s, pair your Cuban collar shirt with skinny jeans and cuff the shirt sleeves instead.
Backpacks you can take to the boardroom
Backpacks have been on the scene for a while now and they aren’t going away. This season, we update with a less casual approach meaning you can transfer your ‘out of office’ look to boardroom with ease. Remember; a simpler lifestyle means there is more time for fun.
