How to Survive the Festive Party Season

As Christmas dawns upon us, we find ourselves exasperated by the amount of party commitments ahead. You know full well, that when this time comes, you will be travelling all around town from the obligatory over decorated offices to local bars for all the mingling and drinking one can endure. While there is no way to avoid this; Mancave London is willing to share some constructive advice on how to survive the festive party season.

Number One.

Don't want to be papped by three different event photograpers, on the same evening, wearing the same oufit? No worries! Be prepared - buy more than one accessory to go with your suit, which will change it up every time. The best and easiest item to change is either your socks or your tie/bowtie. Not only are they both small enough to hide away in your office drawer or bag, if alternated in different colours or patterns no one will notice you are still wearing the suit you’ve been wearing all day!

Number Two.

Attending a party and smelling less than fresh is not okay. You don’t want to stink of the sushi you ate at lunch or the endless aroma of coffee that inundates the office air. Keeping a bottle of cologne in your office draw, for a quick spritz, is the way forward.

Number Three.

If you are that man that takes pride in the success of a well groomed, fully grown beard, why not always hide some beard oil in that office draw of yours too. Just a quick dab of oil somewhat combed through your beard will make it instantly look and smell dapper.

Number Four.

We all need a little pick-me-up just before a party begins, especially if you are that guy heading straight from the office to the bar. Hence why the hip flask is your most trusted companion at this time of the year. A little warming tipple never hurt anyone and at the end of the day the less awkward silences the better – sharing’s caring, right?

Number Five.

Even though your bank account may not look too superior this season, you still need to bring that fine piece of plastic everywhere you go. No one wants to be the talk of the office for being that guy that didn’t buy his round. Carry it in a cardholder, there's no need for a wallet as it's lighter and won’t create a bulge in your suit trouser pocket.
