A regular on the front row at LC:M, head of personal shopping at Selfridges and stylist to David Gandy, Joe Ottaway is a figure on the menswear scene that we should all look up to. A style sensation, Joe's traditional sense of style hones in on British Heritage, bringing back the suave in sartorial gent. We chatted with him about what's coming up for him this year, his favourite spots in London and of course men's style. 

We have just started stocking your beautiful sock designs from the London Sock Co. What was the inspiration behind your designs?

My inspiration behind my sock designs come from what I feel passionate about, what inspires me, which is all about British heritage; celebrating the history of British menswear and what it stands for, from a very traditional direction. Dog tooth for me is synonomous with British texture and design.

What’s the biggest event on the menswear calendar for you?

The biggest event on the menswear calendar for me is LCM. LCM now attracts a global audience to London to showcase up and coming British designers along with British bastians of menswear.
