Established in 2004, Il Bussetto preserve the time-honoured Italian tradition of the leather goods trade. Using bovine leather from the best farms, mainly in Tuscany, where they only use natural tannins, extracted from plants that have been mixed according to a ‘secret formula’. The tanning process transforms raw leather into an environmentally friendly, resistant material; retaining it's naturally distinctive features.Products go through an enduring journey where each traditional step is crucial to the quality of the end result. After tanning, the leather is cut into shape and is expertly hand-painted by Il Bussetto’s artisans. Once dried, polished and finally waxed, the leather is ready to be stitched.
