You could live in London all your life and still never get to try all the eatery's London has to offer. To help you siphon out the average from the truely great we have hand selected our favourite 5 for the month.

FLESH AND BUNS

41 Earlham St, London WC2H 9LX

Japanese food with a twist, Flesh and Buns is a Izakaya pub-style venue with a rock soundtrack, serving steamed buns with meat or seafood fillings. Made for sharing, start off by ordering several starters to dig into, whether that be a Californian roll, the most delectable fried squid we have ever tried or their Korean specialities. Once that has got you licking you lips, dive into the main event - order your buns and some filling to slap in the middle and just let the flavours speak for themselves. Teriyaki salmon, crispy duck leg or crispy piglet belly, the choice is yours. Whatever it is, you can guarantee is will be pukka.

PARADISE BY WAY OF KENSAL GREEN

19 Kilburn Ln, London W10 4AE

Depending on whether you have experienced this place on a Friday night or not, you may be surprised to know that Paradise by way of Kensal Green does a rather spanking Sunday roast dinner to rival your mom's on Boxing Day. The downstairs, which we didn't realise until after several visits 'after hours', actually opens up into a huge dining area with grand decor, candlelabra's and roaring fireplaces. Match that with your favourite roast and you're set for a super suave Sunday.

SUSHI SAMBA

110 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AY

Located on the 38th and 39th floors, SUSHISAMBA is the ultimate place to dine sushi style in London. Not just sushi on the menu, the restaurant offers a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine - that combined with the highest outdoor dining terrace in Europe and you're in for a pretty special dining experience.  With 360 degree views of the City, two panoramic glass elevators and views of London with floor-to-ceiling glass on three sides this is the kind of place you go for the 'show stopper' date.

OBLIX

The Shard, 32 London Bridge Street, London, SE1 9SG

Another player in the height stakes is Rainer Becker's Oblix, located on the 32nd floor of the Shard. Breath-taking views across London skyline are combined with a contemporary, sophisticated yet relaxed dining experience. Window tables aren't eligible for booking, however it's sort of a good thing, as it means they can't all get booked out months in advance. Simply book a table and then as soon as one becomes available you just bump up to sit right next to the floor to ceiling windows to really soak in that view.

MINKIE'S DELI
‘Glasshouse’, Chamberlayne Road, London, NW10 5RQ

Slightly less pricey but no less quality is our favourite deli of the month Minkie's in Kensal Rise. Arguably the best deli in North London it has a real sense of community when you walk in the door, not to mention the incredible array of breakfast's, sandwiches, smoothies and INCREDIBLE coffee, all sourced from local sources. With a full glass front and a wooden trailer full of fresh oranges that are squeezed daily to make their juices, this place has a touch of tradition with all the wonders of the modern day. If you're in the area be sure to check out this place.
